Deliverables New brand identity

Overview

Developed the logo and branding for Project Manawa, an internal tool to recognize and support UDC Finance employees. Created three logo options and two color variations — one using UDC’s brand colors, and the other inspired by Māori colors — to reflect care, appreciation, and positive employee engagement.

Suggested a design language by creating infographics that demonstrated how information could be displayed in a creative, fun, and dynamic way using the new branding elements.

Concept

“Manawa” means “heart” in te reo Māori — the source of life, feeling, and aroha. The design blends Māori cultural motifs with UDC’s clean aesthetic, using fern-inspired lines and two color palettes — UDC’s brand colors and traditional Māori red and black — to reflect care, unity, and appreciation.
